The LSGC Team assembled at the Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda on Sunday 29th October for their match against the Bermudan Bar.
The match was to take place over 3 days over three different courses.
An overcast rainy day (possibly really a “Dark & Stormy Day” as picture attached of the traditional Bermudan drink) saw the LSGC Team triumph at Port Royal Golf Club on the Monday, followed two days later by a triumph again by the LSGC Team at Tuckers Point Golf Club on what was a bright sunny day.
The final round was held at Mid-Ocean Club where again the LSGC triumphed on another sunny day and, with the overall victory to the LSGC Team, the trophy presented by the Captain of the Bermudan Bar, Richard Horseman, to Simon Bowdler the LSGC Captain.
Appropriate speeches of thanks were made after a closely fought match. All of the courses were a delight to play and were far hillier than the Captain could have imagined. Thankfully we had the use of of buggies on each course.
Our thanks to Peter Read of the LSGC Team who made all the arrangements for this match.
Everyone had a superb time and the conviviality of the event and the camaraderie, especially between all of the members of the LSGC Touring Party,  were testament to how enjoyable this particular Match was, but also to how well everyone got on.
It was very much the LSGC at its warm and welcoming best.
If anyone is interested in participating in any future matches do contact the LSGC through its website.
