On the June 2017 The Law Society Golf Club took part in its annual tri-partite fixture against the Chartered Accountants Golfing Society and the Chartered Surveyors Golfing Society at the wonderful venue of Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxfordshire.
The match consisted of morning foursomes and afternoon singles, the first session being on the red course at Frilford and the second on the green course. LSGC made a very good start posting some early results and an announcement made over the splendid carvery lunch saw LSGC and the Chartred Surveyors being equal on 15 points with the Chartered Accountants trailing somewhat on 6 points. The afternoon session saw the Chartered Accountants picking up 26 points taking them to a total of 32 and the Chartered Surveyors 22 points, taking them to 37, but almost relying upon the last match result, the LSGC stole the day with a a grand total of 39 points. The annual trophy was gratefully received by Alan Edgington, the Match Manager for the LSGC.
The recent dominance of the Chartered Accountants – 4 consecutive wins – has been brought to an end.
A very successful day, both on and off the field, with many professional and personal relationships being rekindled on this splendid annual fixture.
Alan Edgington, Match Manager
