LUFFENHAM HEATH GC

Founded in 1911, the course was designed by James Braid.
“Today’s Golfer” ranks it 98 in the top 100 courses in England and says:
“The turf is lusher than most heathlands and there is very little heather, but the routing offers a good variety of uphill and downhill holes with accurate driving essential to avoid heavy rough and hanging lies. An impressive display of bunkering and a solid test.”
“National Club golfer” rates it at 96 and says:
“Renowned for its firm fairways and quick greens, Luffenham Heath is a real thinking-man’s course and requires accuracy and good ball striking throughout the round.”

Entry fee for the meeting is expected to be £160.00 per player and includes: Green Fees for 2 rounds of golf, light lunch on arrival, dinner on Sunday night, light lunch after golf on Monday and prizes.

At the present time we have not decided which competition will be played on which day but after the success at Royal Lytham likely:
Sunday from 1:30 pm-Stableford Foursomes (St Andrews format)
For The John Folley Salvers – One-half of the combined Full Handicaps – Yellow Tees
Partners will be allotted unless a preference for a specific partner is indicated in advance.
Prize-giving and the Club’s AGM in accordance with the Agenda which will sent out on in advance of the meeting in accordance with the Club’s rules.
Monday from 10:30am-Stableford Singles
For The Blackheath Bowl & The John Jenkins Scratch Trophy – Full Handicap – Yellow Tees/tees of the day for men.
Golf to commence from 1st tee at approx.

Closing Date
Please note that the final closing date for entries will be 12 April 2024.
LSGC AGM Notice
The Annual General Meeting of the Club will take place immediately after the Prize Giving and in accordance with the Notice of AGM/Agenda document.
Hotels in the area
The Luffenham Heath website lists a number of hotels within 6 miles of the course. There are plenty of other hotels in the area at various nightly rates including breakfast, as at Spring 2023. These can be found by searching “hotels near Luffenham Heath golf club” on the Internet.
LSGC has not made any arrangements or agreed rates with any hotels. Members should make their own choices and arrangements.
LSGC would encourage members to notify the Secretary of any hotel booking made so that, not least for socialising let alone transport, members have the opportunity of staying in the same hotel.
