This past spring I had a quadruple bypass followed by the worst golf of my life. My handicap doubled and I was thinking of taking up lawn bowling.

Then in September at the fall meeting in St Andrews a miracle happened. I had a week of the best golf of my life shooting 10 rounds in a row in the mid 70s and won the Queens Jubilee Vase from a field of 256 golfers. It was a magical week as once I returned home my terrible golf immediately returned.
